Setting Up a Workstation - Client Connection

Introduction

This guide outlines the steps required to set up a workstation-client connection for Evolution Anywhere. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure a successful setup.

Step 1: Download and Install Evolution Anywhere

To begin, click on the “DOWNLOAD” button to download Evolution Anywhere. Once the download is complete, click on the install file and follow the installation instructions provided. After the installation is finished, open Evolution Anywhere using the desktop icon.

Step 2: Select Installation Type

Upon opening Evolution Anywhere for the first time, you will be prompted to select the installation type. Choose the “Client” option.

Step 3: Create a New Client Tab

A new client tab will be created in the application. In this tab, you need to enter the Access Key and Access Password provided to you.

Step 4: Complete the Setup

After entering the Access Key and Access Password, click on “Start” to finalize the setup. Ensure that the status changes to “Active and Ready.”

Step 4: Locating Your Database in Sage Evolution

With the setup complete, you can now proceed to locate your database in Sage Evolution using the new SQL Server name provided. Follow the specific steps in Sage Evolution to connect to the newly set up client.
